Returning a period property in south Bristol back to a warm, spacious, family home.

This was a full internal strip and refurbishment of a mid 19th century semi detached property in Southville, Bristol with the addition of a new extension to the loft.

The existing roof was fully removed and re-built as were all of the ceilings and internal walls to the 1st floor. A new raised seam zinc clad loft extension was added with a very contemporary design. The existing floors were removed and replaced - including the existing and heavily degraded floor which spanned the original cellar. New hot and cold water distribution were installed throughout the house along with a new central heating system. A full electrical re-wire was also completed including new Cat5 network cabling throughout.

The stone work to the front of the property was fully restored by Farrel Cooper and new timber (oak) double glazed sash windows were fitted.

Decorative plaster work to the ground floor was fully restored by Hayles and Howe and a new fitted kitchen diner was designed and installed by Sustainable Kitchens (Bristol).
