Sneyd Park

A large contemporary single storey rear extension and full house refurbishment to a detached 1970’s property in Sneyd Park.

The work included some fairly extensive structural reconfiguration - including the removal of the house’s central chimney breast creating a larger main living room to the front of the property. Buried utilities including water and telecoms had to be diverted and a new foul and surface water drainage layout was installed to the rear of the house.

Structural steels were lifted over the house via a carefully co-ordinated crane lift by Riley’s Cranes.

We fully rewired the house including new local data network and intruder alarm system. We installed a new central heating  and pressurised, unvented hot water system with independently controlled underfloor heating to the new rear extension.

Two  new bathrooms (main family bathroom and master ensuite) were fitted to the first floor and a small ground floor WC/ shower room was also installed.

4 large roof lights and the large 4 panel Sunflex SVG30 full height sliding doors were installed to the rear of the single storey extension.

We designed and installed all of the aluminum copings, soffits and fascias around the perimeter of the new extension and around the opening to the new sliding doors - fabricated and supplied by Guttercrest.

The entire house was re-plastered and redecorated and a single coat of lime wash was applied externally to the new extension brickwork which, with time, will soften.
